A SAFE UV Light Disinfection Solution
Technologies have long been utilised in hospitals and medical centres, but not in all commercial buildings and spaces. In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the perspectives should change to incorporate technology in the building design practices and maximise the use of technology to prioritise public health and mitigate the risk of spreading infection.
Cleaning
It is a process of removing visible dirt, dust and other soils from surfaces. But, cleaning on its own does not thoroughly remove bacteria or viruses from surfaces.
Sanitising
Sanitizing reduces the number of bacteria or viruses on a surface but does not kill or destroy bacteria or viruses. Instead, sanitising lowers the amount on the surface to a safe level.
Disinfecting
Disinfecting kills or inactivates both bacteria and viruses on surfaces. Disinfecting is one of the most reliable ways to stop the spread of infection and germs.
Introducing You A Disinfecting Technology for Buildings & Spaces
Delta U+ Far-UVC Light Care 222® series are using 222® technologies from Ushio, a Japanese leader in remarkable light-source technologies, as the best UV disinfection solution. Featuring contact and residual-free sterilisation, the Care 222® series serves as a more effective disinfectant than alcohol by inactivating viruses and bacteria on the surfaces of objects and in the air.
Technology can help us reduce the risk of spreading infectious diseases. It is a better performance alternative for pandemic prevention.

How Safe Is The Spectrum Of The Device You Use?
Care 222® uses the light source module to inactivate bacteria and viruses with ultraviolet light emitted at 222nm wavelength. The 254nm wavelength ultraviolet rays commonly used are easily absorbed by DNA, which is bacteriostatic, but it also adversely impacts human cells.
There is a difference between 254nm wavelength & 222nm wavelength UV Rays
The particular, shorter wavelength of UV-C 222nm light, in contrast, is germicidal as it penetrates the DNA of viruses and bacteria. However, when irradiated on people, 222nm wavelength light will be absorbed by the stratum corneum of our skin before reaching the DNA of human cells. Conversely, the longer wavelength of 254nm ultraviolet rays can penetrate the layers of our skin and cause damage to the DNA in our skin cells.
UVC lamps commonly used in the market for disinfection may pose potential health and safety risks depending on the UVC wavelength, dose, and duration of radiation exposure. The risk may increase if the unit is not installed correctly or used by untrained individuals.
The Power of UV 222nm Light
222nm UV light has the same bactericidal effect as 254nm.
It has been confirmed that 222nm light can achieve better effects than 254nm on killing bacillus that ethanol fails to.

Safety Precaution
- The Threshold Limit Value (TLV) of an ultraviolet light exposure dose at 222nm for a person is 22 mJ/cm2 or less a day (within 8 hours a day).
- As with other lighting fixtures, avoid looking directly at the Care222® fixtures at close range (as it may irritate the eyes).
- Users who are allergic to light or are pregnant should take regular UV light protection measures as a daily precaution.

Different Configurations for Different Applications
Medical facilities will require frequent cleaning due to heavy visitor traffic exchange. For instance , we can install different disinfection units in a dental clinic for different room configurations. The U+ Far-UVC Light Care 222® series will assist in continuously inhibiting bacteria and keeping the environment clean. It also reduces the burden of the cleaning and disinfection crew.
Main Entrance
Disinfection gates are ideal for disinfecting the flow of people. For multiple purposes, the disinfection gates can also be installed with body temperature monitoring or face recognition systems. It is commonly installed at residential block entrances and hospital entrances.
Elevator
Wall-mounted disinfection lamps are specifically designed for elevator space. Once the elevator is occupied, the lamp will activate immediately and perform cyclic antibacterial protection for elevator users.
Retail Spaces / Office Entrances
Floor-type disinfection lamps can be flexibly set up to accommodate store/office space conditions to ensure that users can receive antibacterial protection upon entering/exiting.
